Western Colorado is riddled with hot springs. The Colorado Historic Hot Springs Loop is a 720 mile driving tour of the state’s 19 hot springs around the five premier destinations. Explore vapor caves, hot pots, terraced pools, enormous travertine formations and fun-filled aquatic centers. Take a week or two to really experience the Colorado Historic Hot Springs Loop. Some soaks are serene, set under the stars, while others are lively, with waterslides and Marco Polo players. They are a great tonic after a terribly physically fit day.
BEST TIME TO GO
The Historic Hot Springs Loop is heaven in the winter, but before May and after November, you will need a vehicle with four-wheel drive and snow tires.
